This program will cover the basics of home health care in New York State including best practices for hiring and employing private health aides, navigating Medicaid as it applies to home health care workers, decisions about whether and how to use the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance program, the use of Immediate Need Medicaid, and ethical obligations associated with informing clients about the wage/hour and tax law requirements applicable to home care workers.
