This CLE program, sponsored by the New York State Bar Association Committee on Continuing Legal Education and the Committee on Legislative Policy, will survey lobbying and the legislative process in New York State.
 
The first segment will focus on lobbying compliance in New York State, New York City, and Nassau and Suffolk Counties, with focus on the Public Officer’s Law and the “revolving door” of employment in the public and private sectors. The second segment will focus on the roles played by lawyers in the legislative process. This panel will include representatives of the Governor’s Counsel’s office, legislative counsels, legislators and lobbyists.
