Total Credits: 2.0 Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias
Implicit bias is frequently not recognized, yet causes forms of discrimination against minority communities in the law and our legal process. This program is designed to examine bias against LGBTQ people in the law and the judicial system, especially implicit and subtle bias as opposed to deliberate acts of discrimination. Panelists will discuss language sensitivities related to the LGBTQ community, recognizing implicit bias and how to recognize and prevent bias in the courtroom.
