Medical marijuana has only been legal in New York since 2014, with the state’s medical marijuana program actually going into effect in 2016. As a result, attorneys in the different practice areas whose clients need legal advice or representation in dealing with matters relating to the state’s medical marijuana program are often operating in uncharted territory. Our panel of experienced practitioners, who are familiar with both New York’s statute and the experiences of other jurisdictions where medical marijuana has been legal for some time, will provide those in attendance with a road map of how to approach questions regarding cannabis that are certain to increasingly arise in the future.
