As in many rapidly evolving areas of technology, the law is catching up with the use, and misuse, of social media in the employment context. This important program will highlight the current state of this rapidly changing area of law and its application in the private and public sectors of the workplace, as well as the acceptable and unacceptable practices and behavior of employers and employees in accessing and using social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.) in the workplace, especially in hiring and investigation contexts.
Included in the program is a segment on the ethical implications of social networking by attorneys and clients.
