There's a New Law in Town: NY's Digital Assets Legislation

This program will help all practitioners understand the need for digital asset legislation, including an overview of the federal privacy laws involved. The program will also help practitioners understand how the new legislation works and what is now required to grant (or prohibit) access to digital assets during life and for the proper disposition of digital assets at death.  This includes:

 

·       Accessing, securing and distributing digital assets under the new law.

·       Planning techniques to avoid the pitfalls and ensure smooth administration of digital assets.

·       Navigating the new law to ensure the client’s wishes are satisfied while preserving the integrity of the digital assets and preventing identify and content theft.
